Daniel Abdon Peterson is a landscape designer located in Minneapolis, MN. Daniel has worn many hats throughout his career. He has worked in the public and private sectors. Daniel earned both his baccalaureate and master degrees from the University of Minnesota. His undergraduate work focused in landscape design and nursery management. Daniel's graduate work focused on natural community restoration, invasive species management, and GIS mapping of the Minneapolis park systems natural communities. He developed a management plan aimed at personnel and equipment requirements. The plan focused on long term mapping of natural communities to evaluate management techniques and outcomes. The ultimate goal was aimed at fiscal responsibility and transparency.
Daniel has continued his professional development through continuing education programs offered by MASLA, and BioMass. Areas of focus have included traditional dry stacked stone construction and permaculture also known as the edible garden . He received a Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain (DSWA) Level 2 certification in 2011 and his Permaculture Design Certificate in 2009.
